My mother writes emails to me in ALL CAPS. Always. I don’t know why, and I don’t care. I’d read her emails in donkey-scrawl. She’s my mom.
All caps should be used on short headings only.

If you want certain words to stand out in your text, try bold, italic or changing the color.
Caps may make things feel more important when you type them, but it’s not the best way to create emphasis. Readers can see it as screaming, annoying or just plain hard to read.
Remember, legibility is of the utmost importance.
